Hi, this is Tolga Kaya. I am excited to be in Central Michigan University's EDU 642 online class. I am somewhat a local as I teach at CMU engineering. I use technology pretty much for everything and have been enjoying the masters program in educational technology. I quickly browsed the course content and loved it already and cannot wait to work on different tools. I liked the fact that we will be collaborating over blogs. This semester, I am using blogs for student lab reports and it has been working great.
Looking forward to meeting you all,
Tolga
Hello Tolga! I look forward to learning from you throughout this class. Engineering sounds like an exciting branch of STEM careers. Many of my 8th graders are interesting in engineering. Currently I teach 8th grade science. I too look forward to using blogs in this class.
ReplyDeleteHi Kalynn, I am glad to hear that 8th graders are interested in engineering. That means they are at least aware of the "E" part of STEM! :) Looking forward to reading your posts.

ReplyDeleteThank Jen. I am excited about this class, for sure. Here is a collection of my student blogs where they used videos, data graphing, and analysis skills: http://egr393.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteGood luck Ellen with using blogs. Students resisted at the beginning but they loved it after. I hope to read more on your blogs about blogs.
